Weak Springs in some Anderson Timers???

I have had about a dozen instances of timers that would not perform at high speeds, although all were ok at idle and low speeds.

Every one of these timers had a very weak spring.  I checked through the lot of springs and could find no bad ones and so am assuming that over time or use the spring loses it’s “punch”, or that there were some bad ones in that batch.

In any event, I have scrapped that entire batch in case it was a heat treat or material problem and have a new batch of springs that the vendor assures is correct in every detail.  Tests have shown great performance of this new batch of springs in the timers.

So, if you are experiencing high speed miss with your Anderson Timer, contact me and I will send a spring right out to you at no charge.  You can change the spring without removing the rotary contact, but in case you want to remove the contact, I will include a “C” clip also, since those things like to hide under work benches.

If you would like extra springs for “under the seat” or for spare timers, or for other cars, or for whatever reason, let me know and I’ll send extras.

Phone, e-mail or mail your address and number of springs required to:
